I had never used a grinder to trim a dog's nails before, but my Chihuahua-schnauzer mix's groomer swears by them and recommended that I get one with a quiet motor. I bought this one to trim the nails of a litter of 5-week-old puppies at the rescue shelter where I volunteer. It was very easy to use, held a charge well, and was quiet enough that the pups weren't afraid of it. I'm planning to use my new tool to help clients desensitize their dogs to nail trims. I love this product! My dog HATES to have his front paws touched, for any reason, so I wasn't sure if he'd allow me to use this.......BUT he doesn't blink an eye!
